Core didn't really happen this morning. I got started late and then just had no enthusiasm.

Luckily my commute was fantastic. I had good tunes blasting on the iPod and I passed some guy descending Interlaken just by taking a shorter line and not using my brakes as much. Always a good time.

I'm to a movie tonight and then a party so perhaps not the best preparation for what will surely be a hard ride tomorrow but that's the way the cookie crumbles. It's going to be my first MTB race on a single speed ever! Very exciting.

Did I mention that the race starts with a two mile gravel road section? Hopefully I'm not already 30 minutes behind when I hit the singletrack... I predict 6-7 hours to finish. Last year the fastest man (on a geared bike) was just under 5:30 and the fastest woman was about 6:15. Go!
