Since Wednesday's CompuTrainer session was not ideal in that my unit was experiencing some technical difficulties I went back again today. Plus, I used to do this workout twice/week anyway…
My unit had some issues once again but in the defense of Cycle University, this seems to be inherent in the system to some extent and having everything work flawlessly is a pretty high bar for CompuTrainer to step over. Unfortunately.
My first ride was aborted but my second was good.
Greg K was not here today so I used Ryan D as motivation. WE got started on our first effort and no sooner had I ridden one minute when my unit suddenly had no resistance and my 'bike' was standing still no matter how fast I was pedaling.
I futzed with wires and plugs and power-cycled my resistance unit to no avail. Oh well. I kinda, sorta pedaled my way through this first TT but it was not a real workout. Suddenly the thing would kick in and I would have resistance and then it would cut out and my bike would fall way behind everyone. I would unplug the head unit and plug it back in and my bike would magically jump into 2nd place and I would go again. Repeat.
Here is that 1st CompuTrainer data file for what it's worth.

The second TT was flawless. Ryan was nice enough to start us off which meant he had to get moving from a standing start and we all got to roll into the start. This meant I was in 1st place for quite a while.
Ryan quickly passed everyone except for me but the last 150 m (feet?) took him a while so for a bit there we had a good race going. But he eventually pulled even and then slowly eased ahead. In the end he had at least 150 m on me but at thankfully I did not blow sky high, I just could not quite keep up. He sure is good motivation.
