Happens every time... Daylight Saving Time kicks in but I don't sleep in. Oh well, I can't sleep in any other day so this is nothing new.
I got the call-up from Dean J so joined him and Jennifer W, Jamie S and a Keller Rohrback woman (who's name I can't remember now for the life of me...) and did a lake lop with a couple of scenic detours thrown in. Nice.
Except when I missed the turn crossing 520 and we ended up riding the trail from hell (moss covered, cracked, off-camber, you name it) to rejoin the road. Oops...
Jennifer was doing her tension/big gear/keep-the-cadence-between-55-and-60 thing and mostly I tried it too. Not easy. So I muscled some climbs and cheated a little and pretty much wore my legs out. I'm glad I had enough to eat.
The day was aces – SO nice out with the sun and colored leaves. I even took my vest and gloves off for most of the ride.
