When I arrived at my gym people were leaving. Turns out the hostess had not shown up yet... I met Thom W on the stairs and we decided to wait just a little longer. It's supposed to open at 5 and it was only 5:15. We walked up to the entrance and on a whim Thom tried a side door and it was open! Bingo.

Having a gym all to yourself is strange. The hostess showed up five minutes after we let ourselves in but it felt very ghost town for just a little while.

It was my intention to do another run today but even as I was doing my core exercises my motivation was rapidly waning. By the time I finished there was no way; I just went straight home.

Riding to work on the other hand was fantastic! It has been a long time since I commuted to work on my bike and in this weather – cold but not too cold (and not wet) – it was really fun. And riding home in the dark was fun too. I had my headlight on strobe and climbing Interlaken in the pitch black with the strobe was kinda cool.
